Hammer & Chisel update – Day 15

Fifteen days ago I jumped into a new workout program built on the three phases of SSP Training: Stabilization, Strength, and Power. What does that mean? I’m pushing my body harder than I have in a long time and am ending each workout completely drenched in sweat!

I just now have gotten to the point of repeating a workout. So 14 different workouts? Pretty impressive. 14 workouts that I have actually looked forward to and been excited about? Super impressive!

Speaking of impressive….I have surprised myself by getting up early for my workouts with very few snooze mornings. I absolutely love getting this done early and not having the guilt of skipping it. I am building a good habit and it feels awesome!

I’ve done 21 Day Fix in the past so I know how Autumn Calabrese runs her workout. This is my first experience with Sagi Kalev, of Body Beast fame. I wasn’t sure if I’d like him or not but I do! He has a few lame jokes, but so does Tony Horton. I’m enjoying him.

My friend took before pictures two weeks ago tonight, and I plan on taking them again next week; then in three more weeks, and again at the end of the 60 days. I have stepped on the scale a few times but it’s not moving. I know better though than to rely on it. Since I’m lifting I know to expect the weight to come off a little slower at first but once I build more muscle it should start burning fat and I should lose inches. That’s where the pictures come in.

The meal plan is familiar to me, as it uses the same color coded containers as the 21 Day Fix. I know writing things down and tracking my food is key. Meal prep will also help me to avoid the temptation pitfalls. This week I planned like a boss! Feeling confident about my food this week.
